Fiji Surfing – Lau and Kadavu outer islands

Frigates Passage – a fun wave for longboarders and shortboarders at 2-4 feet – challenging at 4-6 and barreling heavy wave equal in power and speed to Cloudbreak above 6 feet – world class. Sideshore in tradewinds – sharp reef bottom.

Kadavu Waves – King Kong Left and Right – the left a quality thick fast wave offshore and protected in tradewinds and the right of equal quality on the day needs east or north winds. Plenty of swell down there always some surfable waves. There is also a world class left like Frigates above at Vesi Passage and a quality right on the south coast Uatotoka.

Southern Lau waves – Matuku

Vinakaland Matuku – thick fast heavy – side offshore in tradewinds and not for the fainthearted. Fun at 2-4 feet – heavy at 6 – 8 feet.

These are just some of the outer islands we have explored over the last 20 years or so beginning this amazing journey with our first visits to Southern Lau in 2006.
