The Boatingo Terms and Conditions explain how charter bookings work when you reserve a vessel through Boatingo Pty Ltd (ACN 603851412). Boatingo arranges yacht and boat charters as an agent for vessel owners, operators, and travel providers. When you pay a deposit, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Boatingo Terms and Conditions and the information provided on this website.
Each charter booking also follows the conditions of the vessel operator providing the service. For that reason, Boatingo sends the operator’s terms together with your confirmation invoice. While Boatingo coordinates bookings, the charter company manages the vessel and onboard services.
Boatingo therefore cannot take responsibility for the actions, delays, or operational decisions made by third-party operators. Likewise, Boatingo cannot accept liability for events outside reasonable control, including guest actions or unexpected circumstances.
Under the Boatingo Terms and Conditions, a 50% deposit confirms your reservation.
You may complete payments through:
Prices may change before full payment arrives. Fuel is not included unless clearly stated. Because availability changes quickly, Boatingo recommends securing your charter as early as possible.
The Boatingo Terms and Conditions require final payment 30 days before the charter start date, unless the vessel operator specifies a different timeline.
If payment does not arrive on time, the charter may be cancelled and the deposit may be forfeited.
The Boatingo Terms and Conditions also require a security deposit before departure. This deposit protects the vessel owner against damage, equipment loss, or late return.
Deposit amounts depend on:
Some operators allow guests to purchase insurance that reduces the required deposit.
Bareboat charters follow a slightly different payment schedule.
Guests must pay:
The Boatingo Terms and Conditions still require a security deposit for bareboat charters. The operator determines the final amount.
If you decide to cancel, notify Boatingo in writing immediately. The cancellation takes effect once Boatingo receives the notice.
Email cancellations should always be confirmed to ensure delivery.
Charter operators may apply cancellation charges under their own policies. In addition, the Boatingo Terms and Conditions allow the agency to retain commissions related to the booking.
Guests may recover some costs if travel insurance covers the reason for cancellation.
If you request booking changes after confirmation, Boatingo will try to help. However, additional operator fees may apply.
Sometimes unexpected situations affect travel plans. In these cases, the Boatingo Terms and Conditions allow schedule changes or cancellations.
Events that may affect charters include:
Airlines and maritime carriers also follow international conventions. Those rules may limit liability.
Force majeure events fall outside normal control. These may include:
If these events occur, Boatingo may adjust or cancel travel arrangements without compensation.
Guests must follow instructions from crew, staff, and charter operators during the trip.
If a guest creates danger, damage, or disruption, the charter operator may terminate the booking immediately. In that case, the guest remains responsible for additional costs.
Airline captains or transport operators may also deny boarding for safety reasons. If this happens, the booking may be treated as cancelled.
Before departure, charter guests should inspect the vessel, equipment, and inventory. This inspection confirms that items appear present and operational.
Mechanical problems or unexpected breakdowns may occasionally occur during charters. Because of this, the Boatingo Terms and Conditions do not allow claims for lost time caused by those issues.
However, operators remain responsible for normal wear, hidden faults, or previously recorded damage.
Cruising areas may also be limited for safety reasons. In some situations, the base manager may require a qualified crew member onboard.
Pets are not allowed unless the charter operator provides approval.
All guests must follow the laws of the country where the vessel operates. Illegal actions automatically terminate the charter agreement under the Boatingo Terms and Conditions.
Guests who break local laws must deal directly with authorities and accept full responsibility.
The Boatingo Terms and Conditions strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for every guest. Insurance helps protect against cancellations, delays, and unexpected events during the charter.
