The Sydney to Hobart is a famous yacht race now in its 75th year with entrants from all over the world contesting this amazing race of just over 600 nautical miles from the famous Sydney Harbour to Hobart Tasmania – conditions were great for the start with north east seabreezes to 20 knots which saw the Superyachts Comanche, Black jack and Infotrak getting quickly out of the harbour and set sail for Hobart under fast reaching conditions. Comanche quickly gained the lead with her impressive downwind speed on her preferred direction of sail being fast reaching or downwind conditions. Spectator boats like Coast pictured enjoy the action from the sidelines at the start.
