MV Monsoon is a luxury charter boat based in Port Douglas. Located in Australia’s northern Great Barrier Reef, Monsoon charter vessel is the ultimate choice for those seeking a spectacular, private, reef, experience. She is built for comfort both on the sea, and onboard, featuring the latest in the marine design along with exceptional quality in her fittings.
Port Douglas boat charter Monsoon can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 12 guests in a choice of spacious areas. Experienced crew pampers your guests with friendly service and delicious tastings while exploring the fishing sites, the warm tropical reef waters, and isolated sand cays.
A typical day on Monsoon Reef Charters would see us depart for the outer reef at approximately 8:15 am. Guests can relax on the flybridge or front deck for the 1.5-hour journey until we reach our first snorkel site; Horseshoe Reef. After a few hours of snorkeling, guests enjoy a delicious lunch before heading out to deeper waters to catch some big, beautiful, pelagic, fish at our port Douglas fishing charters. Of course, if clients are more inclined to fishing, or snorkeling, we can spend the day doing only what they desire.
Diving is also an option at an additional cost. We work with the most experienced dive instructors who leave our guests in absolute awe of the underwater world. If many children or elderly people are on board, or the weather is a little rough and guests would like to spend the day exploring Low Isles this is also an option.

Monsoon Charter Rates
Daily $4,300 (for 10 pax)
Overnight $4,000 (for 4 pax) Peak and holiday rates $4,560
Easter: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservations made between Good Friday and Easter Monday inclusive. Christmas: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservations made between December 23rd and January 6th inclusive.
Dive Instructor $450 Dive Equipment $120 per person (enough for two dives each) SUP hire $120 per board
As of February 1st, 2023, our charter day rate will be increasing to $5,000 (for up to 10 guests)
Daily $5,000 (for 10 pax)

Peak Period & Public Holiday Rates - (+20%)
Additional activities and services will be available and are remaining at the below additional rates:
- Dive instructor: $450
- Dive gear: $120 per person (enough for 2 dives each)
- Additional SUPs: $110 each
- Professional photographer (including underwater images): Packages starting at $385 (non-commissionable)
- Additional food and beverage: Pricing is seasonal
PEAK PERIOD RATES
Peak rates apply for holiday periods which are listed below. Full payment must be obtained at the time of booking for any charters booked within a peak period time frame.
Easter: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservations made between Good Friday and Easter Monday inclusive.
Christmas: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservations made between December 20th and January 10th inclusive.
